CRM Sidebar Gadget 0.2
So, its here, the Version 0.2 of my CRM Sidebar Gadget. For the first, its only Vesion 0.2, beacuse there is still a lot to do, but the next Version will be 0.8 or 0.9, an with your feedback, Version 1.0 is coming soon, so please give me your feedback about my Gadget.
In this Picture, you can see the Gadget in his new look, you can search for Account, Contacts and Products. With the result you have two ways to display more Information about your result. On the right, you have the Entity-Icon, which opens the
record in Microsoft CRM 3.0, on the left, you can see a little arrow which open a Flyout with all the important data.

I love your gadget, but I have some suggestions!
When you type something in the search you should be able to press “enter” to start the query. If you do so now it seems to break and the gadgets compress into a tiny white square.
Make the contact name in the results double clickable to reveal the pop-out.
Make the website URL in the pop-out a hyperlink and clickable.
Maybe have some way to customize which fields to show in the pop-out? XML?
The city doe snot seem to work on my system, it always says “NaN NaN”.

Hi Canadaka,
thanks for your suggestions, that thing with the Enter Button is known, i will make a version 0.3 where a few bugs will be fixed, an your suggestions will be in it, and after that, the fadget will be changed completelly in an other form, so you can choose which entities you will search and wich fields will be schown.

ich finde die idee dieses tools ja einfach nur geil. Nur leider übernimmt dieses bei mir die Servereinstellungen nicht. Wie kann ich dieses beheben?
Wie schaut es denn eigentlich mit der Version 0.3 aus? Da diese ja schon 2007 angekündigt war.

Hallo Ronny, zum Problem mit den Einstellungen hab ich leider keine Idee, hatte das Problem selber noch nicht, jedoch wenn das Gadget aus der Sidebar entfernt wird und wieder hinzugefügt, gehen die Einstellungen verloren, dies ist bekannt, und meines Wissens so von der Sidebar gewollt, werde dies aber in der nächsten Version berücksichtigen, zum Thema 0.3, habe ich vor kurzer Zeit die Arbeit wieder begonnen, wird diese Jahr noch erscheinen, und zusätzlich auch noch unter CRM 4.o funktionieren.

erstmal vielen Dank für die Bestätigung im Xing und für deine Antwort.
Kann es vielleicht sein, dass dein CRM Sidebare Gadge einfach nicht unter CRM 4.0 funktioniert? Darauf habe ich natürlich jetzt nicht geachtet.

Hallo Ronny, jep ist leider noch so, das das Gadget unter 4.0 nicht funktioniert, da hier die Abfragen geändert werden müssen.
